I have an LT1000 and also an LT2000. I kept the 1000 for exchangeable parts. Yes, they are built on the same chassis, but there were upgrades on the 2000. Yes, the 2000 has more horsepower with the same Craftsman Intek engine, but the 2000 is a 20hp whilst the 1000 has 18hp. The seats are not better, they are the exact same Craftsman seat..
